"There I was, just eating pizza, and then we starting wondering if Jesus was going to cast us into Hell." ...and other things I thought about while digesting Luke 13 this week.
Good Questions Luke 13 asks:
-What happens if our religious beliefs don't match up with God's character?
-Is God in the business of punishing and judging?
-Do Jesus want us to be afraid of him?
Come into the "kitchen" and let's think out loud and see if this story is our story as well.

Lo-Fi Kitchen - Luke 12
Monday Aug 28, 2017
Monday Aug 28, 2017
At a time where many of our communities are being torn apart by people who are hungry for power, and people who will act in violence to protect their privilege and position, Jesus's teachings in Luke 12 will be divisive, just like he guessed.
In Luke, Jesus seems to think that there's nothing like greed, or a hunger for power, that can destroy a person. Is that right?
Come into the "kitchen" and let's think out loud and see if this story is our story today.

Lo-Fi Kitchen - Luke 10 & 11

Friday Aug 11, 2017
Am I a neighbor? Is God is asleep, and if so, can i wake God up? Come in to the kitchen and let's chat about Luke's story becoming our story.
Luke 10 & 11 leaves us with some better-than-normal questions, like:
1) Is it our job to decide who gets goodness?
2) How can I stop mediating love, and just start sharing it?
3) If God is real, do we have to wake God up?
4) Is there a secret code to getting what we need form God?
